Pastelaria Dalila

Dalila is the oldest pastry shop in Lamego, established in 1960 by its founders, José Maria Pinto and his wife, Rosa Borges Pinto.

Dalila was the pioneer in introducing the renowned Bôlas de Lamego to the market, produced strictly according to the original recipe entrusted to the family — a story shared on the packaging that accompanies each product.

The production process continues to honour this authentic recipe: NO margarines, oils, or blended flours are used. All fillings are prepared with premium ingredients, including regional cured ham, leg ham, marinated pork loin (vinha d’alhos), codfish, and traditional salpicão from the shoulder and neck.

In traditional confectionery, Dalila highlights are Lamegos — the true and only originals (never the bean‑based versions). This is an exclusive recipe, entirely distinct. The Cavacas da Beira‑Douro are also a signature product, recognised for their very low sugar content and their delicate, highly appreciated texture.

Within its biscuit range, Dalila features the olive‑oil Ferraduras and the irresistible corn biscuits. The selection also includes the traditional Gradinhas de Lamego, whose origins trace back to the Poor Clare nuns of the Convent of Chagas in the city.

Dalila is also renowned for its delicious pastéis de nata, crafted according to the traditional Portuguese recipe.
